Title: A&D Engineer
Location: Minnetonka, MN (5x per week)

Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 + Bonus + Stock Options
JOB DESCRIPTION
An employer is looking for a highly skilled A&D Engineer to join one of our largest national clients for an opportunity at their headquarters location in MN. In this role you'll join a growing team and work to conduct technical due diligence, execute both large and ground game acquisition evaluations and work alongside business development due-diligence, engineering and land teams to integrate successful petroleum (oil & gas fields or oil & gas barrels for example) acquisitions into their corporate systems.
Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with internal Business Development and Asset Teams for the timely evaluation of acquisitions, divestitures, and/or trades that arise from internally generated and third-party deal flow
-Develop type curves, including composing type curve areas and well lists based on similar attributes (including but not limited to subsurface conditions, target zone, vintage, D&C design, well-spacing), refinement and application of parent-child/co-development risking methodology, and identifications of offset analogue pad/project developments
-Participate in management presentations and/or data rooms, lead technical due diligence efforts, and able to load and calibrate data from acquisition data rooms
-Prepare ARIES databases incorporating underwriting assumptions and prepare cashflow projections, presentations, and supporting documentations
-Obtain, organize, QA/QC, and input data into internal platforms to provide technical support and assistance with tracking, screening, and data management
-Perform scoping work on potential acquisition targets and/or divestiture candidates based on internal private data and publicly available data sources
-Assist in continuous process improvement of internal best practices for A&D evaluations and related workflows
-Work with Business Development, Land, and Engineering asset teams on the integration of successful acquisitions into the corporate systems
-Assist engineering team by providing technical support required to perform basin studies
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or related field of study
-3+ years of relevant reservoir engineering and transaction experience at an operator, non-operator, private equity sponsor and/or investment bank
-Highly proficient in Aries or PHDWin and proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
-Relevant understanding of A&D underwriting process and preparing cashflow projections and presentations
-Strong understanding of oil and gas terminology, public data sources, and information types
-Proven self-starter with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities with a track record of process improvement, automation, and modernization of systems
-Work effectively both independently and collaboratively with internal and external counterparties
-Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team setting
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Experience in Permian, Appalachian, Uinta Basins and/or other onshore L48 basins
-Proficient in ComboCurve
-Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/project in a high-risk, project-based environment
-Experience with the acquisition of oil and gas data from commercial industry databases such as Enverus and from state regulatory bodies such as Oil Conservation Division of New Mexico, Texas Railroad Commission
-Knowledge of GIS is a plus
-Working knowledge of data management best practices
